Charlotte McGraw

Charlotte is a visual artist located in Central Ohio. Charlotte was wrongly institutionalized at a very young age for behavioral and mental health issues. After years of struggling to be released, she reentered the community and began making art about her experiences. She utilizes the Art Studio at Goodwill Columbus, where she creates art every day.

Artist Statement

“Reincarnation after Incarceration” is about being back in the community, free to make decisions, free to express yourself, without being told what to do, or being locked up. It represents our ability to change ourselves and our situations.
